MY VOICE-OVER JOURNEY... began a year and a half ago with the buoyant and uplifting INTRODUCTORY SEMINAR. It was the initial "lift-off"…and I am still in orbit up there plotting the next and future courses and classes.
The anticipation it has created is due to the incredibly talented, professional, one-of-a-kind instructors who seem to be able to home in on your unique needs and help you focus on the skills and techniques to make YOUR journey a
successful one. Wow! What an adventure! What fun! What a great sense of accomplishment. What a TRIP!
I've come out of my 'retirement shell' with a terrific sense of confidence and a newly created identity that voiceover training has given me...and of the infinite possibilities which lie ahead. I've also appreciated that you are never influenced unwisely but given a 'reality check' to keep yourself on track in this highly competitive, fascinating business.
What a privilege to be able to work with these teachers and 'Savvy Sam,' who so earnestly want to see you be your best and conquer the 'Goliaths' out there in the marketplace…
As in life, variety is the spice at Voicetrax. There are courses, workshops, lectures encompassing every conceivable aspect of the business in the most thorough, professional manner imaginable...a lifetime of learning in an upbeat, comfortable environment. I'll never be the same!
And, tying it all together is the caring, considerate and highly capable staff bringing everything to a successful conclusion behind he scenes.
VOICETRAX, you truly cover the waterfront.
Thank you for all!

There's a scene in "Seabiscuit" where the trainer observes about the horse: "I just can't help feelin' they got him so screwed up runnin' in a circle, he's forgotten what he was born to do."
It was Voicetrax, and Voicetrax alone in my life, that freed me from that circle.

Happy Anniversary Voicetrax Family
Once upon a demo, a long, long, time ago…
I heard Sam on the radio talking about teaching voice over out of her closet in Mill Valley! Did my ears deceive? Could it be that all these years of searching the barren educational wasteland had not been in vain after all?
With courage and fortitude I ventured forth to lay my heart at the dragon’s door and took heed of the words above which read: "Selection not Rejection." Boldly I marched through the gates at Mothers’ studio for the grail surely must lie beyond…
Thank you Samantha and thank you to Shirley, Thom Pinto, Frank Coppola and all the other instructors and teachers too many to cite. And let’s not forget the unsung engineers, especially those in the days of tape. Thanks for the rewards of fellowship and inspiration not only from teachers but from my fellow students who have excelled in their own lives: Sirenetta, Juliet Tibbetts, Johnnie Anderson, Al Bedrosian, Bob Symons, Roger Jackson, Dionne Quan, James Carraway, Kathy Goodin, Dave Boat and many others....
Fast forward to 2007, Bend, Oregon....
The path has grown wider for me now, not only for voice-over, but also film, and on stage. I have three agents, a website, a home studio and so much more, all of it built with the bricks that were laid by the caring, giving, creative, slave-driving, and knowledgeable professionals that I met through Voicetrax.
Thank you for all of it, the highs, the lows, the good, the better and the best!
Would it not be so if it weren’t for that little closet in Mill Valley? Who knows? But it absolutely, positively would not be the same.
Thank you to all of the Voicetrax Family for 20 years of a journey just begun

How has my life changed since Voicetrax?
I ended up in therapy…How was I to know how to say "succulent" with flavor dripping from my mouth. I didn't cook. Shopping for clothes did not leave me high, ready to mow down anyone in my path.
After months and many classes, Sam was left snarling, cajoling, begging me for the spark. And then, like some mysterious being, my voice began to caress, bite, convey authority, and turn a joke. My western twang made smoke rise from a campfire. My mature, comforting, wise woman, gave me saint hood. Character voices, on the other hand, seem to pop out of my mouth at the most inopportune moments.
I'm deeply grateful.

As Sam's first student in the Bay Area so many years ago, I feel comfortable in stating that, if it weren't for me, none of you would have had the chance to work with Sam and the folks at Voicetrax.
Had I been disagreeable, stubborn, annoying, a little off, or any kind of a pr#@k at all, it just could be that Sam woulda packed her things and left...left the Bay Area, Andre, her agency, the whole nine yards.
Directly because of her experience with me, she stuck it out, and look what happened. 20 years...two decades of voiceover frolic that—let's be honest—wouldn't have existed if it weren't for me. I love me. I'm sure most of you do too. So if you see me on the road, blow me a kiss, wave, do whatever it takes to acknowledge me, and I'll accept your accolades with the proper amount of humility...and, uh, oh yeah, don't forget about Sam.
Yours in the truck and sometimes the studio

On the Voicetrax program™, I have lost 20 pounds of fear, taken 5" off my ego, and my acting has increased to a 36DD, and that has done wonders for my self esteem. I highly recommend the program to anyone suffering from any affliction whatsoever.
But seriously, I have grown in so many ways since embarking on this voice over journey and given voice to the many sides of my personality, and had so much FUN, I find it difficult to remember what life was like before Voicetrax.
Thank you, Samantha and all the teachers and students that I have had the pleasure to work with over the years.

As an Automotive Account Executive.for BANG (Bay Area Newspaper Group), Voicetrax has helped me better express myself—and my ideas—to clients. Some have even shown interest in using my voiceover talents for some of the commercials they do locally.
With a little more training I look forward to being able to offer my services in addition to handling the print advertising needs of my clients.

I have studied at Voicetrax, as someone put it, "since Jesus was a baby" and I have loved it.
I appreciate all the generous and inspiring support I have received from everyone at Voicetrax—especially Sam, Shirley and Johnnie.
One of the most rewarding and life enriching parts of Voicetrax is the dear friends I have developed—people who really know me. I have other wonderful friends, but they don't get it about acting…
I love Voicetrax, and I can feel the love from everyone there.

I have been taking classes for almost two years, and in response to your recent request for feedback on what it has meant to me. Wow!
I have been looking for something that is truly fun, creative and exciting to do with my life. I now realize that I’ll never retire or even want to. It only took me 60 years to find out what I want to be when I grow up and have Voicetrax to thank. The fact that I can make an income with this is exciting, but the fact that I can have the time of my life in the process is the real gift.
Samantha I just want you to know how much your school is meant to me personally. Each and every class with each and every instructor has been fun, special, and unique. I now have a real bounce and attitude about who I am and what I have become a part of.
With love

For two and a half years, I took many Voicetrax classes. Without itemizing all the training, techniques and how great and qualified several teachers were, I can say it was top-notch…professional all the way. Absolutely every minute provided good learning information and I said to myself after every class, "I really got my money’s worth!" These classes refined my speech, and enabled me to mentally evaluate and prepare for any given voiceover situation.
All this enhanced not only my self-confidence for any voice work, but laid a foundation to build on. The training was a high point of my life and is valuable even aside from booking voice work. I’m glad that I tried it. It gave me tools to work with in my daily life, for any speaking engagement or whenever else I do to communicate.
Thank you very much for all the fantastic training
